ESI Integrity Anti-Fraud Technology Receives Lottery Industry Award

VANCOUVER, BC, April 23, 2007 - ESI Integrity Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of ESI Entertainment Systems Inc. (TSX:ESY)) today announced that it received a Smart-Idea Award for its Integrity Anti-Fraud Module at the Smart-Tech 2007 Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The Smart-Tech Conference is organized by the Public Gaming Research Institute (PGRI) and annually recognizes new ideas and technology that provide a distinctive impact to the lottery industry.  The ESI Integrity Anti-Fraud Module was recognized in the New Technology category.

The new ESI Integrity Anti-Fraud capability is based on proven AI technology for transactional pattern analysis, and automatic rules detection and generation. This capability has evolved from successful projects in stock trade monitoring and online technical support applications, and is well-suited for transactional pattern analysis and adaptive learning applications. These characteristics are central to the ability to monitor and detect many types of fraud, including sophisticated money laundering schemes. The integration of this functionality extends the range of potential fraud conditions that can be monitored by the ESI Integrity System, offering a premium risk reduction capability for the gaming industry.  The Integrity Anti-Fraud module was developed in partnership with Aprecia, Inc. of Stamford, Connecticut.

The system is currently being implemented to monitor race wagering for RCI Integrity Services Inc., a national pari-mutuel monitoring service established by the US State Racing Regulators.  Virginia Lottery will be the first lottery organization to trial the system.
