Software ready for RCI Integrity Services

Tucson, Arizona, December 1, 2006 - American regulators completed another step in plans to offer real-time independent review of racetrack wagering pools as RCI Integrity Services on Friday completed software development of its wagering monitoring system.

The software is a combination of the ESI Integrity monitoring system currently used by the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency, and advanced fraud detection capabilities similar to those used on the New York Stock Exchange to combat fraud and insider trading. The software, adapted by Aprecia LLC, has passed beta testing and is ready for use at betting outlets to monitor the integrity of wagering pools.
"This system enables the large scale review of wagering data in an unprecedented way that will detect fraudulent activity," said Association of Racing Commissioners International President Ed Martin, who also is serving as interim general manager of RCI Integrity Services.

In December 2005, RCI announced plans to create RCI Integrity Services, a national monitoring service and database for pari-mutuel wagering. With the software complete, a briefing on the capabilities of the system was planned for regulators who attend the University of Arizona's Racing Symposium.

Through pattern analysis, the system is capable of instant alerts of wagering problems. Also, it is able to confirm payouts to bettors, revenue splits with horsemen, breeding funds, and state governments; detect unauthorized access to host pools; and safeguard account holders from security breaches.
