ESI Appoints President for ESI Integrity Inc.

Burnaby, BC, December 12, 2006— ESI Entertainment Services Inc. (TSX:ESY) today announced the appointment of Mr. Alan A. Ahac to the position of President of ESI Integrity Inc.  Mr. Ahac has been with the ESI group of companies since 1998, and most recently has been Vice President of Business Development for ESI Integrity Inc.

In 1999, Mr. Ahac led the initial development of the Integrity Continuous Monitoring product that became the flagship product of the ESI Integrity Inc. business unit.  Subsequently, he was central to the growth of the business, taking it from 2 government lottery sites in 1999 to its current 44 lottery and pari-mutuel sites worldwide, spanning North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.  ESI Integrity Inc. is now the world’s largest supplier of continuous monitoring systems to the regulated gaming industries, and its systems currently monitor over $25 billion in wagering activity annually – in near real-time.  Mr. Ahac is a highly regarded expert and frequent speaker on integrity issues relating to gaming.

Prior to joining ESI, Mr. Ahac had spent 10 years at MacDonald Dettwiler in software engineering and technical marketing, and 4 years at Mercury Scheduling Systems Inc. as Manager of Software Development and subsequently Director of Business Development.  Mr. Ahac completed his B.Sc.(Hon) in 1983 and M.Sc. (1985) from the University of Victoria
